Ephemerality

Ephemerality
Ephemerality tells a tale of a summer that exists beyond the constraints of time and space. Keiran James took the memories of some ephemeral moments, ones that seemingly belonged to another realm entirely, and created a new place for them to reside. She invites the reader to place themselves in the role of the narrator by using mostly "you" in place of specific pronouns with the hope that anyone can read these words without the fear of being questioned. "You" can be anyone to anybody. The pages of James' debut poetry book are meant to inspire the creation of the reader's own ephemeral worlds- the places for fond (and the not so fond) memories to live. Inspired by nature and the diary it keeps, the way things live on long after the rest of the world has forgotten, you'll find yourself unable to put down these words. And perhaps, it will allow you to create a world of your own.
