2020: A Year of Signs, Warnings, and Testing the Christian Heart

A worldwide pandemic. Complete economic shutdown. Civil uprisings. Large-scale natural disasters, including a firestorm that torched vast stretches of an entire continent. This is only the beginning of a list of memorable news stories from the year 2020.

It is also the year when many people lost all remaining faith in humankind. Partly because every tiny issue now seems to become politicized, the public is learning to distrust all information from all sources, including mainstream media news (let alone anything you read on the internet). Misinformation is becoming so widely distributed that no one knows what they can believe. In such times, where can one turn to find any sense of meaningful purpose or fulfilment?

The answer, unsurprisingly, is the same now as it was 2,000 years ago. But when Christians themselves succumb to despondency over current events, they find the enemy has successfully placed a bushel over their candle - at a time when it was never needed up on the hilltop more. The Bible tells us Christian hearts will be tested, too, in order to separate the chaff from the wheat for the Lord. So we should expect these kinds of trials, especially when we see the days growing more evil and time growing ever shorter.

The good news is these difficult days are numbered. The bad news is that if your heart is not right with God, the future is slated to actually get much worse for you unless you correct that. In this book, Paul Kasch will cast a Biblical perspective on the times we now live in and how the events of this notorious year fit with the revealed will of God. By the time you finish it, you just may experience a renewal of inner joy, which no person or circumstance is capable of stealing from you.
