Kevin is a young man who is struggling to find his place in the world. Blighted by a loveless upbringing and school bullies, he lives in London - a city gripped by dread. As an introvert and loner at heart, he struggles to mix but it's crucial he forms bonds with those around him if he's going to get through lockdown and fulfil his vital role in the nation's future. Will he be strong enough?

Jess, a lonely, childless woman who longs for love, clings to a young refugee who has become much more than her pupil. Then she meets Todd - he's handsome, kind and offers her a way out. But if she accepts, she has to leave behind the only person who has given her life meaning and relocate halfway around the world. What if things don't work out?

Daniel, a doctor, dedicates his life to helping everyone - good and bad - who pass through his surgery. The only person he seems unable to help is himself. He lives a solitary life, cocooned against the pain of loves lost. As the sheer scale of the pandemic escalates, he has a choice to make, and the consequences are potentially devastating.
