Rainy Day Picnic

Rainy Day Picnic is a conversation starter to teach your children to take responsibility for how they process their emotions. One hundred percent of what may have happened to them may not be their fault but they have to decide how they are going to process those thoughts, feelings and emotions. Each of us have to "own" at least 1% of any situation. We need to teach our children to move from being a victim to a victor. A small key can open a large door to understanding that a bad situation does NOT have to define their entire life. They can move beyond death, divorce, bullying, or any other challenge or loss they face. They need to understand that it is okay to not always be okay. They can heal by learning to complete the pain these events have caused. If they cannot undo what has happened then hopefully they can understand that they CAN do something about how they react.
