Pontius Pilate: He Lives

Wham! Wham! That was the sound of hammers furiously driving spikes into each of Jesus's hands. The striking of metal was immediately followed by death screams. Those screams have haunted Pontius Pilate's dreams for thousands of years. When Pilate awakes from the night terrors he only remembers the screams and a distant voice echoing in his head, "Until we meet again." Pilate ordered Jesus's death. You've read your bible and heard the story retold countless times over the Easter holiday. But like all stories of the bible, there is always more to it than meets the eye. 2000 years ago Pilate was cursed by God for the life he took. Pilate's hands may not have thrust the Spear of Destiny into Christ's side but he did nothing to prevent it. By "washing his hands" Pilate not only sealed Jesus's fate and his own, but also fulfilled age old prophecies that will lead to the end of times. Soon after Jesus was executed, Pilate realized he had been cursed by God. He tried to live out his days in obscurity, hiding amongst the shadows. But fate could be cruel as others knew of his curse and did their best to make his life as unbearable as possible. On more than one occasion, the Brotherhood that chased him caught up to him and left him for dead. No matter how much the Brotherhood tortured him, he would always live. There are a number of fables that tell us what happened to Pontius Pilate after that fateful day. But no one knows what really came of the man and how he met his demise. Until now that is.
