Mars Clipper - Building Spaceships For Fun And Profit!

What would it be like, for a normal person off the street, to get a chance to be on a spaceship, going to Mars?In this episode, Carlin, our unlikely hero, and his trusty robot Dreads, are finally on their way to Mars! Its about 200 days of flight time to Mars from Earth, so they'll keep busy building little prototype spaceships to launch along the way. First thing I wanted to say, is thank you for coming along on this mission with me! Its a big step deciding you'll just stop what ever else you were going to be doing!For our trip to Mars, we'll do our best to keep it real, but we should have fun, too!Space is hard, harder if you're stupid. We'll try to keep the stupid mistakes to a minimum, OK? There's enough drama on Earth, I'll do my best not to bring it along.Wouldn't it be nice, if once in a while, things just worked? That's the goal, anyway!You'll be seeing the mission through my eyes, and I think some of the better partswill be when we're talking with Dreads, our Artificial Intelligence robot. We'll start off most days with the morning briefing, where we'll look at the scriptedactivities from Mission Control, and then we'll probably go off and do our own stuff.We did our best to make this easy to follow along, so the language is pretty simple.Sometimes we made up words, or made words easier. Spell check has trouble with that kind of thing. Hopefully it's not too distracting if I forgot the apostrophes, and I like ellipses... that usually shows there was a gap in the dialog... OK, I hope you packed light, mass is expensive! There's plenty of coffee, it will be hot, black, and in a cup. Or sometimes in a Mylar bag, depending on if we have gravity or not!All aboard?Wawoooo!
