This is a memoir of my life. I have overcome obstacles many go to theaters for entertainment purposes and many times tried to end it all. Dysfunctionally Functional is the first of a 4 part series of how I was raised in a gang lifestyle around drugs, abuse, and violence. I take you on a journey of how living in this manner caused me to suffer from PTSD in my adolescence and in my adult life. It is my hope that through my suffering, others will connect with one or more of the different characters in some way and stand up for themselves. This series will continue to tell of how I grow into the activist I am today and how I took my negatives and turned them into positives. I make the choice everyday not to become a victims of my environment and this book is the beginning of my journey; this is me living dysfunctionally functional.
