But Voltaire didn't understand that women are trained to be seen and not to see. Women were never told what to look for. We are told to "settle for what you can get". If a man is breathing, grab him! Women are trained to believe that self-respect is self-ish. We are trained to accommodate a man.This "training" paves the way for a narcissist to step in and take control of a woman's life. We are trained to "lure" men into marriage, and then complain because the prince is really a frog. He was always a frog, but he was available. So unfair, for men as well as women. But, now, we need to open our eyes to see the erosion of our self-respect. We women need to stop being needy, we need to think, observe closely, the signs of narcissism that are there - try thinking, observing...But the best part of being married to a narcissist is that, now, nothing scares you. And you know when you die you won't go to Hell because you're already there. I am especially qualified to write this book since I married not one, but two narcissists!! I'm a slow learner. And needy. Very needy.And, I have learned it isn't just men who are narcissists - oh, no!
