Darkest Days

Lucas is like any other high school student, all he has to do is focus on his grades, a bit of love, and everyone else's lives. Until that is, Bangladesh explorers bring back an ancient disease from the polar ice caps that starts the zombie apocalypse. Now he lives every day trying his best to survive while also helping the only people left in his life build a base that they can call home. Once again, another problem arose with the destruction of the human race. Who would have thought? Our self-destruction brings forth the greatest of threats. As I was attending to our garden behind our main conference hall, I heard a massive explosion come from the eastern wall. I looked up with fear glistening in my eyes; a slight static began emitting from the radio on my belt. Jeremy was radioing out something about propane tanks rupturing, causing a chain reaction. I immediately ran over to the watchtower near the center of camp, grabbed my belongings, and went to gather as many of the others as possible. That is when the invasion started. Like bees swarming around their hive, they rushed in. I started my way towards the safe house when I encountered one of them. I was amazed to see, well, I will get to that later.
