The genealogy of my ancestral roots has helped me to tear down into my life and come to the rude awakening that what I am has been shaped by where I come from, built over many generations from my father Edward Oyoo to Luo Ganda, my great great grandfather. Here I am, with a character embedded from different underlying circumstances, some of which I am responsible for, but some emanating from many generations before me. I have also discovered that my ancestral roots limit me as to my total being or my whole heritage. As a matter of fact the roots only helped me to identify the idiosyncrasies in my life and to know that I am a subject of limitations if I refuse to recognize that I owe my total being to a higher power without limits. I fully acknowledged the identity of my whole self with the divine nature of my lord and savior, Jesus Christ. I accepted his mentor-ship, having escaped the putrid world brought about by my carnal heritage.Life is full of memories. Every time I pause to go to sleep or to wake up before my morning prayers I let my mind to be free, and my head starts to be full of different images, peoples, places, events; experiences that have left an indelible mark in my life In summary I have built a story about my identity in the world and about my identity in the Kingdom of God and have shared these memories in two different perspectives: one when I was always struggling with life, exposed to some of the best institutions of learning in this Country. I became an academic giant in my own right but struggled through many ups and downs of life, some so bitter, some so sweet. I traveled places, became exposed to different training institutions and different places of recreation. I met different people, who exposed me to good habits and bad habits. I continued searching and searching for what I call the unknown. In the end I stopped searching when I discovered the secret of my emptiness. Secondly, I do not want to show that I am weak, but these memories have helped me grow up and understand the value of life and the value of belonging. These memories have catapulted me to give God the first place in my life in all circumstances, whether good or bad. Unfortunately, I only understood the value of life when I went through my most difficult relational circumstances, the circumstances which shaped my life to be what I am today in Christ Jesus. I have no regrets at all in living in the Kingdom of God, and I'll continue to do so, without any fear of contradiction, until I transit from this temporal body I am clothed in, to the higher eternal life inheritance which is my hope.
