This present work is a decidedly academic look at the progression of religious stages as conceived of in the early 20th century, towards the orthodox approach of monotheism, and thereafter more debated pantheistic approach to spirituality. Pantheism, being the concept (in the broad sense) of an interpenetrating whole existence, as we may deem it, as a replacement for the personal, or at least quasi-separate deity of the main-line Christians and other groups (henotheists, polytheists, etc.) Spinoza especially here is discussed at great length, comprising about a third of the text.
