Continuing the journey through the New Testament, Book 3 of this series covers the gospels of Luke and Mark. Luke is the most comprehensive of the four gospels as the writer attempted to be historically correct. He was the only one of the four gospel writers who was a gentile rather than a Jew, therefore his perspective is somewhat different from the others. Mark was a companion to Peter and wrote according to Peter's teachings, therefore most of the gospel written by Mark was done so from Peter's perspective. Peter was the first Jesus chose to follow Him and was among His most beloved apostles. As with the previous studies, each verse is explained in context with the times in an attempt to stay true to the author's intent.
