A Novella Underground: Hip Hip, Juggalos and the Journey is the autobiographical story of hip hop artist Big Slack's trek through the underground music scene. There are ups, there are downs, there are wicked clowns. From finding very early hip hop roots in very un-hip hop 1980s Oklahoma, to his discovery of and relationship to the Juggalo scene, to rocking music festivals for thousands of people with his own brand of homegrown hip hop. All the twists and turns are laid out in this narrative. Behind the scenes tales of how the underground all-star crew, Riff Raff came to connect. Along with stories of The Foundation, fabled Ft. Smith music venue famous for it's sex, drugs, and underground rap escapades. The joys and pains of life on the road. Even what it's like to judge a live rap battle. Fist fights, shots of J?ger, heat exhaustion, and Yo! MTV Raps on VHS. All this and more are here. It's Henry Rollins' Get in the Van meets Violent J's Behind the Paint in this representational recital of underground music history.
