The Upanishads are the sacred transcripts of the Vedic teaching that guides us to discern the reality from the glitter of life by sitting down near the qualified Guru to receive the spiritual knowledge. The verses of the Upanishads are the secret doctrine teaching us the purpose of life. The viciousness and avarice arising out of ignorance bind us to the external world through our desires and willful actions. This erroneous opinion about self and the world leads us to destruction. Upanishad is the heart of the Vedanta which guides us on the path of realization through experience. The Upanishad deals with know-hows of awareness of the unchanging reality. The problem with human understanding is that it identifies itself with a limited identity. Race, religion and the creed- which is the cause of that identification and violence is the natural consequence of that identification. Generally speaking, this mumbo jumbo of a faulty understanding of Vedic teaching causes gibberish of so many halfwits making it sensational on many platforms spreading hate. Upanishads teach us to do away with the unreal substance. Our identification with the self as 'me & my' religion, creed, caste, belief, opinion is the cause of suffering and anguish. This hegemony of dominance of my belief over yours and vice versa has done a great disservice to humanity. Upanishad shows the way to do away with the duality of self and guides us on the spiritual path of realization. There is no other way than the path of Upanishads. The beauty of the Upanishads is that they are gender neutral. Upanishads the earlier text does not distinguish the heroics based on gender. In the Vedic text, we have hailed the heroics of women like Gargi, Gosha, Lopamudra, and Maitreyi equally as Yajnavalkya, Aruni, Ashtavakra, Balaki and Shvetaketu.I have chosen some selective stories of Upanishads that will change your life by changing the paradigm of your thinking by converting your limited pleasures into abundance. Money can't buy all the happiness but the accurate knowledge of self can. The book is a treatise of wisdom that would guide us in the realm of happiness.
