My earlier books Organize to Win show how to conduct successful grassroots campaigns. This volume is a companion to that series and provides examples of written products drawn from dozens of actual successful campaigns. It includes articles which show how we communicated with our members about ongoing issues. These writings also demonstrate the hard-hitting, completed staff work that an independent volunteer local group is capable of producing, which is the fundament of successful grassroots activism. They provide insight into the emotional roller coaster of day-to-day environmental advocacy during the years I was Conservation Chair of Kalmiopsis Audubon Society of Port Orford, Oregon. The material is reproduced as it originally appeared.
