Listening for Birds in Virginia - A Book of Photos and Facts about the Birds of Virginia

In this book, I share photos of birds that I took over the past few years: American Crow, American Robin, Brown Thrasher, Canada Goose, Common Starling, Downy Woodpecker, Eastern Bluebird, Eastern Turkey, Gray Heron, Great Egret, Great-tailed Grackle, Green Heron, Hawk, Herring Gull, Mallard, Mourning Dove, Northern Cardinal, Northern Mockingbird, Osprey, Pallas Gull, Pileated Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Red-winged Blackbird, Sanderling, Tufted Titmouse, Turkey Vulture, and White-throated Sparrow. I created this book as a companion to a bird video I posted at YouTube, with the hope that those who enjoyed the video would want to know a little more about each of the birds that are featured in the video.

Each page has interesting facts about each of these birds: their eating or mating habits, how their coloration protects them, how common the birds are in North America, how humans help or cause harm to their populations, how long they live, the interesting habits of some, and more.
