Up to two thousand people were dying every week because of starvation and water-borne diseases such as cholera. The situation was simply heart-breaking.

The author experienced God's protection from armed bandits who attempted to shoot down his plane. And he was led by Him to hitchhike from Zimbabwe airport to Beira, by a particular day, without the slightest idea why. It was only by trusting in God that he made the journey and discovered the consequences behind it - to save thousands of hospital patients from dying. When he worked as a medical technologist for the Zimbabwean health service focused on water treatment for renal dialysis, the author recalls some of his unforgettable experiences. His initial work was in State house for a kidney patient and very special lady, Sally Mugabe, President Robert Mugabe's first wife.
