The Mandate to heal Childhood is one of the most significant time of life furnished by innocence, freedom, pure heart and growing up with the trustable and worthy hands of loved ones. But some people are not lucky enough, they have to start fighting their own battle from the very first step they learn to walk. It all started from a shivering voice and fearful eyes being unaware of what happened to the one who is influencing thousands of people.It's been 36 years now, the first time I experienced child abuse when I was just at the age of five. Though the age when you did not know what the abuse is. And things became even worse when you have to hide your issues. It all started with a friend of my family to neighbors to the baby sitter to the first love and the chain goes on. Every time you feel the terror, insecurities all become a part of your life gradually. But the worse thing one can do with your self is remain silent. Remaining silent on the abuse makes you the prisoner of the past which not only affect your perception but also makes you a protector of your abuser. You can't keep running from the past. To break that silence isn't easy but this is the only way to heal. When you think that you want freedom it all began with this sentence "The mandate to heal." I am Angela Showers who once belongs to those chains and now working for the many other cases who have been trapped in these chains. To fight for yourself comes from your strength and desire to heal.
