Brice

Ralph is a peripatetic master carpenter who spends his life travelling around churches, at the behest of his insurance company, to repair water damage, fire damage, in fact any woodwork damage. The church at Brice is just another job and a supposedly simple one.

However, churches are never simple and this one hides a long-forgotten secret that connects to an Abbey of which there are only legends while containing angels that are not what they seem. The more he examines the church fittings to start to repair them, the more secrets he uncovers on the way; unsure where it will all end.

Meanwhile, his life is gradually being turned upside down by the death of his brother, the sudden desire to settle down and, perhaps, a relationship worth pursuing.

On the face of it, Brice is just a sleepy little Norfolk village, but never was anything further from the truth.
