Life isn't all that simple when you're a teenager in the Nineties. Henri Shaw is the self-appointed leader of his group of friends, along with his sociable younger sister, Nikki. Together with Sophie, Bryan and Jo, they journey through their early teens - making a few surprising discoveries along the way.

Henri is dating Zara Cunningham, a friend of Sophie's family. But she and her meddlesome brother, Aaron, soon create trouble. Meanwhile, Jo reveals some upsetting news and Nikki finds herself swayed by a more popular crowd. And could Bryan be tempted in a surprising new direction?
