After a terrifying encounter with extra-terrestrial beings deep in the woods one night, Carter Stanbrook knows his life will never the same. After receiving a letter containing an ominous warning of impending danger, mystified, he decides to dig deeper into his uncle's past, in the process uncovering shocking family secrets he'd never have believed possible, all of them living secret lives in the shadows without him being aware of it, realising he hadn't known them at all.

Plunged into a dark, shadowy world where anything seems possible, aided by a UFO investigator, Carter realises his every move is being carefully monitored, not only by secret agencies embedded deep within world governments, but others too, each of them prepared to go to any lengths to uncover the truth, and, with his life hanging in the balance, fights to survive.
