Stan and his cave dwelling family live in the Age of the Environment in 2060. They experience the strange luxuries of an elderly couple's home that are from the Age of the Consumer. Stan's anger makes the situation worse. A storm makes the situation deadly for some.

Fifteen-year-old Stan works on his anger issue that clouds his survival instincts. Stan feels responsible for the safety of his cheerful family that tend to sing simple songs.

At the consumer house, Stan learns some reasons for his anger from the elderly Taker. The older man has a subscription to information from a satellite that sees and tells all.

The latest hurricane causes a tree to fracture the exoskeleton of the consumer home. Extreme floods of acid rain decide the future of the hardworking cave-dwellers and the giving, yet greedy, consumers.
