The House by the River

Yellow Smith is one of the closest confidants of Calico Kelkirk, now leader of the Consortium. Yellow had a difficult past and is eager for humanity to escape global warming by establishing colonies on Mars, where she will oversee the animal population.

But to do that, the Consortium must find a massive source of power for the alien, Quotient, to handle the portal to move everyone and everything needed for the colony.

This source of power will be the souls and lives of approximately two million people.

A major metropolitan city is about to undergo a catastrophe not seen since the end of World War II.
