I came across this book and i have to say I was thoroughly impressed by it. the author, with brutal honesty, talks about his tragic family life. You have to hear the both side of story, but while reading this book, I came to understand how the other family members must've felt about the whole situation. I could not take any side, it was just sad. As an Asian immigrant, I was surprised how similar Philippine immigrants were similar to Korean-American culture. I highly recommend this book.
