The following are more true stories from my days emerging from high school and into the real world of working and basically having events throughout life that were learning experiences with some innocent fun thrown in to the mix. My previous book concentrated on growing up in Evansville and this is simply a follow-on to that concept. The manuscript includes a lot about my hometown of Evansville but goes beyond to include selected experiences living in Lynchburg, Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia. I tried to present these snippets in some chronological order, but that proved difficult, so I gave it my best shot at making the book flow from topic to topic for readers. Not sure if I accomplished that objective. I said that I would complete this book in a few years after publication of my first one, but based on the success of the previous one, I got busy and put this one together as rapidly as possible. Some of that earlier concern may have been because I was afraid my memory would start failing after all these years, but if anything, I have better recall now than ever before. It should be noted that my doctor told me, after I had a blood stem cell transplant in 2019, that I now have the blood of a 32-year-old and the liver and kidneys of a 35-year-old. I never had the nerve to ask him how that 3-year difference between my blood and organs was calculated. Seems like they would have been the same, eh? He said I must have taken great care of my body over the years. If only he knew the truth. Will there be more stories from me? That remains to be seen. For sure I am not running out of true stories to tell.
