They wanted it to be their best summer, not their last. Nestled between miles of trees in the woods of northern Wisconsin is the small town of Field Park. In 1995, five high school seniors prepare for their final summer together before commencing their adult lives. What was supposed to be an irresponsible, party filled romp takes a dark turn when Jo, Beck, Westy, Jess, and Phil find a glowing boulder in the basement of an abandoned house. After touching the rock, something possesses them and they begin to act differently. Crazy. Sometimes violent. Horror starts when a body turns up at a party. Levelheaded Jo devises a plan to destroy the boulder, but Beck, her long-time crush, will do anything to keep his newfound power. Even if it means getting rid of anyone who knows about the rock. Perfect for fans of Cabin in the Woods, Lois Duncan's I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Grady Hendrix's My Best Friend's Exorcism.
