A 2 part collection of poems and essays by Ghanaian-Canadian writer. Part I has a variety of poems under 10 titles, with various poetry forms such as long form, quatrains, odes and the customary satire.
Headings in Part I (Poems) range from politics and Africanist musings to satire and critiques of the logic defying inequalities of the African socio-economic landscape.
Titles such as 'Crooks in Suits', 'Hard Times' and 'How Long' makes poignant criticisms of greed, corruption and incompetence of African leaders and dictators, as well as the inequality created by a ruling class who can be properly labelled as 'Neocolonial leaders'.
Pan African students and students of African politics will enjoy 'Rise of the '-isms' whilst 'Baccalaureatte' and 'Guilty Pleasures' is meant to be an ode to the college/university life of students, past and present alike.

Headings in Part II (Essays) include short philosophical musings on human existence in 'On Non-existence' (which marks the first time Bebu employed the use of late 19th century poetry writing styles with modern short form essay styles in an essayt) and Afrocentric critiques in 'In defense of the Third World People'
'The Camp-Us System'
is a conspiracy theorist's attempt to demonise residential/campus life as a voluntary ungated prison, and the Faculty as oppressors of the young and carefree Student body.
'In defense of Third World People' is a bold attempt at explaining, justifying and mansplaining the non-existent nationalism prevalent in both citizenry and leadership of many African countries

There is an interesting argument to be found in the theory that perhaps the universe would thrive better and even flourish were human life out of the way as postulated in 'How did we..?'
