Too Good to Live: A Memoir

To delve into creative writing is to expose yourself - it is a journey of self discovery with the intent of laying your soul upon a page. Why anyone would embark on such a journey is baffling but thankfully there are those who cannot resist the urge.

It matters not if the work is fiction or non the writer bares themselves in the process of telling a story - fears, dreams and confessions appear and begin to paint a picture.

I'm not sure whether writers are born or made - it doesn't really matter - it is the desire to write that makes a writer.

A memoir is a snapshot of the world from a particular vantage - a picture of a place and time that lives only in the memory of the writer.

Pam's memoir spans the time from her birth in 1932 to the birth of her first child in 1953. In it we visit London during the Second World War and view it through the eyes of a little girl. We meet her family and learn about their circumstance. We travel to Canada where she begins a new life in a new place - we feel her excitement and reluctance and resolve. Every page is laced with Pam's humor and humanity.
