There is much confusion about the Sabbath among professing Christians. However, this need not be. God was clear about the establishment of the Sabbath under the Old Covenant, and He was also clear about the greater rest that was accomplished by the person and work of Jesus Christ. Under the New Covenant, we see that true and lasting rest comes not from ceasing work on the seventh day, but in resting in what Christ has done to accomplish salvation.
