In this contemporary time, we are faced with the same attacks against the gospel of Christ. Killings, maiming, kidnapping, and other forms of persecution of the church of Christ pervade our land. Our response should not be anything less than the response of Christ and of the
Apostles. We must be ready to pay and make the necessary sacrifice for the sake of the kingdom. Our commitment to the cross of Jesus as a soldier of Christ must remain unflinching even in the face of intense persecution.
This book calls to our consciousness the sacrificial work of Christ for our salvation and the perilous labor of the apostles and many believers for the spread of the gospel of the kingdom. The big question then is, "What sacrifices are we making now for the sake of the kingdom?"
