Janice F. Powell was born in August of 1942 to a loving, Christian family. Her parents, Joseph and Olga, owned a small farm and a store, where Janice learned business skills that came in handy when she later owned establishments such as a florist shop and an arcade. Janice was left alone and unsupervised in dangerous locations, had food and water withheld due to neglect, was sent to the hospital numerous times due to dehydration, and ultimately died from a horrific, but easily preventable bed sore.
