The Sea Is a Cloud on Earth: Allegoric stories

...A black bird with emerald green eyes landed on my windowsill. It's a jackdaw; It lives in parks and forests. It's very timid and avoids people. It keeps marching up and down the sill like a soldier, occasionally tapping its beak on the glass as if by way of a greeting. What is it trying to say, what message is it trying to get across to me? I rack my brains but I can't remember.
Yes, I went to bed last night without finishing the story I had started and I couldn't find the words to continue in the morning. I lost the right state of mind.
The ship has sailed. That's what we say when we have missed something irretrievably.

...I'm in a hurry to get to work when a cat emerges in front of me, crossing my path back and forth before pausing right before me, raising its head proudly and looking me straight in the eye. What are you trying to say to me, pretty cat? You are prone to anger - won't you scratch me if I stroke you?
A pizza delivery guy on a scooter suddenly comes out of the shrubs, shooting right by me like a bullet out of a gun.
Were you protecting me, cat?

...All these living things, these trees, grass, flowers...family, friends and strangers, the people I do and don't love... Those close to me and those who couldn't be farther from me.
I can find a common language with them and speak to them. I'm happy because I understand them. My admiration grows as I get to know them. How big and beautiful the world is. How great it is that I'm here too and this world sees me as one of its own and embraces me like a mother.

But...One day or one moment. I realize that I barely know them, that I don't know them at all. I'm disappointed...
I write my experience. As I write, I get more and more attached to the pen and paper, I love this world more and more, with all prons and cons. With all its good and bad things..."

And life goes on again...
