Abigail Paxton is a metropolitan homicide detective seeking retribution for past mistakes. She has seen people she loves die throughout her entire life. Some she had lost during her childhood back in her small hometown in the Midwest, and some more recently on the streets she has sworn to protect. Abigail has long put her own life and desires to the side while pursuing a sense of justice in an increasingly unjust world. Her jurisdiction is the urban core of the Riverside Park area of the city. Riverside has long been forgotten by those in the city who can create real meaningful change, left to rot and the people to fend for themselves. Abigail has sworn to protect the crime riddled ghettos of Riverside and its people at all costs, a long-standing promise.

But there's a new killer on the loose, one unlike Abigail has ever witnessed in her years as a detective. A savage murderer who leaves no shred of evidence and kills with impunity. Her pursuit leads her on a path forged of blood and self-discovery, on who she is and what she wants out of her life. Once she realizes who and what the killer is, she must choose how to pursue this new supernatural threat, and if she will be able to save her own soul from the corruption bleeding onto her streets.
