The reality of the Mass is unfathomable to the human intellect. Yet a reality that can only be truly understood; truly experienced; truly entered into by having faith in Him, whose perfect sacrifice we are privileged to witness re-presented in an unbloody manner every time we attend Mass. This book is an attempt to introduce and explain, from a deacon's perspective not only what happens during the Mass, but what those who attend are challenged to reflect on as they participate in the Mass. For in doing so, it will become apparent that when the deacon proclaims "The Mass is ended!" to realize it is not over. But that we are being sent! Sent, to "Glorify Him" not in an ecclesial or communal way, but by our words, our actions, our deeds as we live our lives in the world in which we work, play and live. Which we can only do, if we but have the courage to say yes, to His request that we spend one hour with Him in the Mass
