After getting a certificate as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and then starting at a startup and trying to implement common PMP methods, I was quickly told from my developers, if I wanted to stay, I better learn scrum. Two years getting a PMP certificate turned into a mad dash to learn how to become a Scrum Master.
