Only three days after Porter Wallace finds his best friend Logan Sinclair hanged to death, a large envelope arrives in the mail for Porter. It's from Logan, and the mysterious contents reveal that she didn't kill herself. Porter quickly realizes that Logan was murdered, and she isn't going to be the only victim. This is not the end of senior year at Capitola High that Porter expected. He was supposed to be playing soccer, working at O'Neill, and planning his future. He was supposed to be focusing on opening his sandwich shop. He was supposed to be figuring out his relationship with his skater girlfriend, Maya Holiday. Everything was supposed to be just regular teen life. But now, nothing is normal. With Maya's help, Porter figures out the identity of the mysterious killer.
