Is it a coincidence that Liberalism is mostly prominent among the historically Christian cultures? Many Liberals and Christians abhor the correlation, but it does not make it less of a fact. The connection between the two surpasses mere coincidence, as we will set out to explore the roots of modern Liberalism and how Christianity's deviations had set up its bedrock.
The events of history are more intertwined than one might consider. Ideas generated in the classical age are still resonating in our modern times, which is a clear sign of an undercurrent that is generating worldviews. As we examine the intense philosophical roots behind the major landmarks of history since the beginning of Christianity, we will come to understand what Liberalism is all about, how big it really is, and where it is actually taking us.
It is vital we make the Christians better understand the Liberals and vice-versa. Although the differences between both worldviews are immense, understanding the other side will allow us to better communicate. After all, Christians and Liberals belong to the same communities, sometimes the same homes. We will either have to communicate or eliminate each other. What choice would you rather make?
