For every David, a hero who defeated the mighty Goliath, there's countless others that believed they were standing on the side of righteousness, only to be shattered.

Asher failed his family, his village, and his God. Beaten physically and mentally, he left his old life behind, searching for an escape from his tormented reality. Instead of finding peace, the anguish encompassed him, and soon he spent each waking moment taunted by his past choice. Letting the anger grow and take control of him, he trained. He wouldn't fail again.

Now, after years away living as an outcast, Asher has come home to pay recompense and atone for himself. Having nothing but a sling and his rage, he is prepared to go to battle against those that crushed him years earlier-Goliath's brothers.

Taking place during King David's reign in Israel, this epic fantasy correlates with the events surrounding what happened to Goliath's four brothers.

"The territory of the five Philistine Rulers in Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron..." Excerpt of the book of Joshua 13:3

Author comments:
In writing this book, I wanted something short and easy for readers to enjoy, but ensure it had plenty of heart. Having fallen in love with such books as Lord of the Flies and Animal Farm as a young reader, I love writing books that aren't simply black and white, good vs. evil. I want readers to feel respected by providing what I hope are good stories, while also giving food for thought.
