This is a study on God's original plan and design for marriage. Going back to the Garden of Eden, looking at what it meant for Adam to call Eve Woman and the power that is found in that name. To understanding the bedrock of marriage and what it looks like to build our marriage on the rock that is Christ Jesus on the Truth.
This is the marriage covenant that we have been given the privilege of mirroring here on earth. Just like the sanctuary in which the high priest used to offer gifts and sacrifices was just a copy and shadow of what is in heaven
Hebrews 8:5
They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what it is in heaven
Understand this as well, our marriage here on earth especially as believers in
Jesus Christ should and was intended to be a copy and shadow of the marriage covenant between Christ and the Church. We have received a beautiful pattern and a foreshadowing of what it looks like to be in a marriage covenant, we saw this in the life of Christ, how he died and gave up himself sacrificially for a bride that was yet to say Yes.
As we conclude, marriage is so much more once again than boy meets girl, boy loves girl.
It is more like Christ sees Bride, Christ Loves Bride, Groom dies so that Bride lives. I believe God instituted this idea of marriage to try and give us a glimpse into his original plan for Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.
That both Husband and Wife can recreate their little garden of heaven in the sanctity of marriage and get to experience this same statement, of two people naked and unashamed. Maybe in our world,
we can settle for Naked and comfortable This is a study on God's original plan and design for marriage. It is going back to the Garden of Eden, looking at what it meant for Adam to call Eve Woman and the power that is found in that name.
To understand the bedrock of marriage and what it looks like, build our marriage on the rock of Christ Jesus on the Truth..
