When the Left was Right

In North America, we tend to assume that democracy is the ideal form of government. It is for many but how well does democracy work if you have one Member of Parliament and live in one of Canada's three northern Territories when there are 338 seats in Parliament? How well does it work when ongoing corruption, lies, misinformation and the buying of politicians are commonplace? How well does it work when a large percentage of the population does not see the government as having the legitimacy to govern, or when corporate and lobby group interests take precedence over that of the electorate? This book explores these issues and others.
