Love Overcomes

Margaret has a wonderful way of evoking deep emotions with the poems she writes. Allowing the reader to recognise and connect with her simple yet complex use of everyday language. Her words tell the story of love, pain, truth and joy as she reaches out to others in recognition that we all share - in varying degrees - similar stories. Margaret hopes that you, as the reader, will recognise your story in her work. Many of Margarets poems are written in Scots - celebrating the language - with the belief that it should be reclaimed, premoted and recognised as a language of itself. Rather than discouraging and telling folk to speak 'properly' she says that we should be informing and encouraging the Scots to speak in their wonderful mither tongue. A language full of its ain beautiful rythms and tones.
