Back to School Prayer & Anointing

As the school year begins, parents and guardians get busy shopping around for all the necessary things their children will need to resume school. Most often they concentrate only on those material needs without due consideration for the spiritual preparation. It's equally important to take care of our children's spiritual need by sending prayer ahead of all their school activities. This is so because the place of prayer cannot be overemphasized in their lives. Prayer as we know is very effective and powerful, it has the potency to go into the past, present, and future to make crooked way straight. So therefore, every godly parent must invest prayer in the life of their child.

It's scripted in Bible in Luke 2:52 that "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man." This scripture includes the three most important aspects of a child's developmental process in life (the Mind, Body, and Spirit), which this scripture mentioned as Wisdom, Stature and Favor. The bible put this in proper perspective for us in the book of James 1:5 that 'if anyone lacks wisdom, ask of God, and it will be given unto him or her. Therefore, parents, ask God in prayer to bequeath your children with the wisdom and knowledge they need to triumph in their studies and in life generally.

Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." This scripture saddled every parent with a big responsibility to raise their children to become responsible and successful people in the society as God purposed in Jeremiah 29:11.However, parents and guardians must make conscious effort to pray constantly for their children without ceasing, until their good is better and their better best. This is a hard decision we must put in for them now if we really want to see them excel in life. Please don't settle for less!

I thank the Holy Spirit for insight and inspiration on this book, It's indeed a blessing and a necessary tool in the hands of any parent or guardian that is ready to invest prayer in their children's welfare in a world that is full of distractions, confusion, and wickedness.
