Falsely accused of assault, Jersey undergraduate Les finds what he believes to be a new home in the concrete jungle of New York City. Reeling from the cold-blooded murder of his lover Hero, Les embarks on a Dante-esque odyssey of coming to terms with grief, with navigating an increasingly complex urban world, and with his own feelings of vengeance.

From wine shop cellars to dive bars to subway stations, Les discovers the world isn't what he thought it was, as he struggles to hold on to the possibility of goodness in those around him and within himself, until his story's shocking, explosive conclusion.
