This book is about the real-life journey of a Muslim boy from the northern part of Nigeria who went from being wayward to a frightened child. This youngster and two other boys grew up in a rural location. They ranged in age from thirteen to fourteen. They commit numerous crimes against their parents and the residents of their neighborhood. They were referred to as the three demons because of how weird their upbringing was.
The youngsters were involved in an incident one day that nearly cost them their lives. He was afraid that his mother would tear him apart or, at the very least, punish him harshly. However, when the news got to his mother, she instead did something exceptional that would forever change his life.
She used words to cracked his bones and alter his behavior. The words he refers to as "7 magic words."
He ultimately underwent a permanent shift, but his father would not acknowledge his new reform and thought it was an attempt to manipulate him. He makes every effort to win his father's favor and affection, but to no avail. He was continually scolded, berated, and humiliated without cause.
He lived with his father, grandmother, and other three sisters because his mother worked far from home and only came home on the weekends. As a result, he felt rejected, inadequate, unworthy, and unwanted as a child. He changed from being a bold youngster to a frightened youngster with low self-esteem who is afraid to try anything out for fear of being judged or condemned for not doing it correctly.
In an effort to combat his depression, he developed an addiction. He was dependent on his own pleasure. When he realized how his behavior was affecting his life, he tried to break the habit using a variety of strategies, most of which were unsuccessful. However, he was finally successful in using the techniques he describes in the book.
He eventually met three people (all Christians) in his final year of college who saw something special and outstanding about him and began to inspire him to pursue his dreams. They sparked his energy, and after a year, he managed to regain his confidence and self-worth, realize his ability, and begin doing wonders. And that was the inspiration behind the title of the book, "The Touch of Christ." The ideas, observations, and experiences gathered over the previous 31 years have given rise to the book, which is priceless and important to both the present and future generations to come.
