My Only Hope

Nwannediya, a traditional African woman couldn't believe it. The man she loved so much has changed. He now detests her. It was all surprising and new to her.

Her daughter stood in front of their pile of clothes and broken belongings. 'Why did father chase us out?' her tiny voice asked.

She could hear a feeling of despair and betrayal. She pulled her daughter to herself and hugged her as tears fell freely from her eyes.
