The Cats of İzmir

Irish is one of the stray cats of İzmir City. When he was only a tiny kitten, he was washed ashore on İzmir Bay from a cargo ship sailing out of the port of Cork in Ireland. Growing up as a member of the Denizk?şk? stray cat community, he was befriended by a beautiful local lady called Princess, who became his sponsor, making sure he always has food and shelter. Princess is normally a happy lady, but Irish has noticed that lately she seems sad and worried. Other cats in the community have noticed the same change in their sponsors. Together, the cats agree that the reason for this change is the spectre of the coming Mayoral Election, when the current Mayor, whom their sponsors detest, will seek by manipulation and underhand methods to be elected as Mayor for a new term, but this time with a mandate to rid the city of all its stray animals. Led by Irish, the Denizk?şk? cats decide to repay the kindness of their sponsors by enlisting the aid of other stray cat communities throughout the city to develop a plan that will thwart the intentions of the Mayor. But will their plan succeed?
