Respect for the rights of others, that is peace. Eva's hitherto beautiful childhood changes abruptly when the six-year-old girl loses her parents in an accident. She grows up for a few years with her grandmother and an aunt, where she experiences her first bullying. Then her aunt marries and brings the eleven-year-old child to Hamburg. An unimaginably cruel life begins for her, until four years later she frees herself from it alone, as she receives no help from any side. She flees to Kenya, takes on her middle name, Julia, gets a job as an au pair, but the past catches up with her ten years later. Poor, chaotic, crisis-ridden - the associations with Africa usually refer to a negative perception of the continent as a whole. In addition, the holiday regions are still registered as positive perceptions. Herds of animals wandering over the land, white beaches and crystal clear water. Africa, on the other hand, is so much more and often a misunderstood part of the world. For the young woman, Kenya in particular is so much more, so diverse, many-faced and beautiful.
