Jayne never worried about dealing with otherworldly beings because of her gift, until the veil of the world falls during the Reset, making most of those entities corporeal and more dangerous than before. To make matters worse, everyone around her is either killing themselves with blissful smiles or going completely feral and killing indiscriminately.
