The Parables of Matthew: Bible Studies for Small Groups

This book contains 13 studies that will provide content for 13 group meetings.

This book contains small group Bible studies for each of Jesus' parables as taught in the book of Matthew. Studies in this series might be different from others you've experienced. The form of this study will follow a discussion heavy pattern. This will maximize the understanding of the material and allow everyone to apply the material to their own faith and lives. Each session will start with a few questions in a section labeled "Getting to the Point." These questions will draw your attention to the theme of the study and help you to start thinking about the text in your context. Then we will read the text together and spend time with several questions about it. These questions will start by drawing your attention to particular parts of the text and transition to thinking critically about the text, its connection to the rest of Scripture, and its implications for us as God's people. Finally, the study will turn to questions that will encourage us to think directly about how the lessons apply to our lives and how we can come together as a community to support one another in that.
