Friendship with God existed for others, and it is possible for you and me too. Having unfeigned friendship with God is what we were created for. Through the fall of man, sin separated us from God's relational presence and companionship, however through salvation and Jesus' redemptive blood we are able to reconcile and reconnect in relationship- in friendship. The conversation throughout this book is an invitation to begin your journey at uncovering friendship with God and forging your own unique relationship with Him. My forever prayer is that this book has in some way been a blessing to you, opening your heart and mind to receiving and perceiving friendship with God differently. As you contemplate, may you seek to uncover (or rediscover for some) a renewed, intimate, and congruent relationship- friendship- with the Only One that truly matters- God. It is what we were created for. I hope you'll appreciate your journey, realizing that it is a life- long process- each day being better than the previous. As you stride daily in humble obedience, may you never settle on your odyssey, as going through the motions may cause you to become fatigued and weary. But understand that our relationship is a choice to choose that will require conscious and consistent effort. Like any relationship, confront your inconsistencies and failings as mundane Christianity should never be satisfying. And as you grow, curate an awareness of God's presence and proximity, seeing His fingerprints and footsteps in every area of your life. He chose us as friends without hesitation and in full certainty, my hope is that we- you and I- will choose Him too.
